The king is naked!

Our representatives give us no respite.

👉 "The king is naked" (see first post y second) is the metaphor with which we illustrated last year that party politics is finding it increasingly difficult to hide behind the cloaks that we now see as transparent: narratives, empty slogans, talking only about the past, blaming each other, chicanery, lack of proposals, personal power ventures, distracting manoeuvres and, above all, the desire to divide the citizenry in order to continue "reigning".

This week was the height of nakedness. Our president insists on dividing us and confronting us, looking for culprits in a new (and there are...) portion of society that "buys dollars". We would like to remind him that it is not the dollar that is rising but our battered peso that is falling, which is worth less every day, because it is the currency of an unreliable country, with an inefficient and wasteful state, irrational spending and a party policy that has no idea how to generate wealth, so it requires foreign debt and/or domestic debt to finance itself, together with an unhinged emission. A (literal) mountain of pesos that this year increased 71%. 💰💰

In turn, our vice-president inhabits a parallel dimension where the only concern is her personal life (disguised in various garments, also transparent), while she makes time to crunch the institutionality and continue to advocate narratives such as that our fiscal deficit and our emissions are not a problem, and are not the generators of our inflation, since many countries whose economies work, have deficits.

He forgot the small detail that all those countries that have fiscal deficits (and do not issue and do not have inflation), can borrow in abundance (because there is plenty of money in the world). What's more, everyone (public and private entities, funds, banks, individual savers, etc.) loves to lend and renew credit to them at low and competitive interest rates. Why? Because they are reliable while Argentina is a serial defaulter (9 defaults) (Note from La Nación).

📌 We have already said, and we reiterate, a loan in itself is not bad; it is how people, companies and countries grow. Now, that loan should be used to generate capital goods, infrastructure, possibilities for development and growth, which in turn will generate more growth and development and the interest will be paid comfortably while creating the conditions for investment, generation of entrepreneurship, businesses and quality jobs.

This is not the case in Argentina. Argentina is like an addict who, in order to recover, must stay completely away from the substance that destroys him. Argentina must balance its accounts and keep them balanced. And to have a long-term growth and development strategy with State Policies that are maintained, whoever governs.

Governing with wasteful spending and looking every two years only at the short term to win elections is not innocuous. That is how we are.

❗ "You can deny reality but you cannot deny the consequences of denying reality". Years and years of empty narratives and ineffective governments are taking a painful toll.

❗ At the same time, faced with the denial, ineptitude and imposture of the ruling party, the opposition coalition, which had been keeping a deafening silence, which was neither "prudent nor responsible", but rather the convenient silence of "Don't interrupt your enemy while he is wrong", has decided to break it with another communiqué of occasion. The people? Their anguish? Their future horizon? Well, thank you.

So much for the bad news.

The good news is that citizens are waking up. That this is neither 2015 nor 2019 and that this time empty slogans, talking over each other and blaming the past will not be enough for the candidates.

💡 Whoever wants to govern must have a government programme and a suitable team with which to implement it. And communicate it in order to be elected.

It will have to gamble on winning the election, for the first time in Argentine history, with the social licence to execute its Plan.

Rivadavia's armchair smiles.

That's right: you have to work. ✊

Prosperity is our right, and if we don't claim it, who will?

📢 Citizens: let's set the agenda.

Let's keep working.

To put an end to the improvisations and patches (accompanied by their corresponding sanatas, verses and sarasas) and to set the agenda on the unavoidable need for a short, medium and long term government programme to get out of our decadence join us:
