Argentina has been sliding into the abyss for decades. Poverty is growing. Social mobility is non-existent. The life of society as a whole is degrading. Culture. Education. Health. Security.
Party politics, of all political stripes, has been incapable of generating a proposal for a country that sets a course, with clear objectives that lead to growth and development, to the harmonious life we all long for.
To disguise their ineptitude, both sides have created a distracting rift that takes the focus away from the essentials in an ongoing zero-sum game.
✋This is as far as we have come. No more. That's enough.
We citizens no longer accept this empty proposal. We no longer accept frivolous and unproductive dialogues, more akin to a gossip show than to officials who should exercise their office with competence.
👉 Citizens no longer accept to listen to talk of the past, to blame, to blame, to blame, we citizens want to inhabit the future in the present in order to design it.
👉 Citizens no longer accept to vote for empty faces and slogans.
We citizens want to vote for concrete proposals. We want each candidate to explain their government programme, their macro-micro Federal Development and Growth Plan. We want to know their teams, the professionals who have drawn it up and the names of the ministers who will accompany them to implement it.
No more sitting in Rivadavia's armchair to improvise.
We citizens know that in order to move forward, Argentina needs State policies that transcend any government in power. That are maintained. And we know that for that Argentina needs a Plan. Not many plans: a Plan.
We citizens know that in four terms of consistent policies Argentina can move forward. And we are concerned about alternation. We are concerned about the congruence of one government with the other. We are concerned about coherence.
A coherence that implies that governments work for the benefit of Argentina, not for the benefit of their officials, who should only be so temporarily.
Citizens work on our own Plan, to be informed and to be able to evaluate the proposals.
That is why we come together, talk with purpose and say:
It is more important to be together than to agree on everything.
We will build bridges to the farthest corners of Argentina. Bridges that will continue to unite us in dialogue with the goal that brings us together: the prosperous Argentina that we long for for all of us.
We Argentines, united, can take our beloved Argentina forward!
