Let's demand the only possible bridge!

? The bridge

Social plans, employment and employability.

All these days, the issue of "welfare plans" has been at the top of the public agenda. ?.

Let's admit it once and for all, because that is the only way we will be able to think it through and resolve it:

❗️Under these conditions, there is no possible transit programme between the plans and formal employment. There is no such a "linking plan". There is no "bridge".

1) Formal employment is a fortification in which not even those with education are included, as since 2012 there has been no net creation of formal employment.

2) People with plans are uneducated adults.

?? This is why there is no "bridge". Because there are no points of departure and arrival.

Let us assume then that under these conditions, and at best, there are only reasonable changes.

Then:

1) For those who receive state assistance, to have their own white, quality, salaried employment, which allows them to support themselves, is to build dignity and a truly inclusive country. ? People want to work, not receive plans.

In the face of Argentina's fiscal and monetary imbalance, the only thing that can level the scales, and create opportunities for prosperity for all, is private investment. ?. Large companies, SMEs, entrepreneurs, businesses: citizens who invest their capital in the country, generate employment, make profits and pay their taxes.

In a country with more than 40% of poor people, with 72% of children under the poverty index in many localities of Argentina, whose parents receive contingency social plans, what should prevail is the wisdom of a State that facilitates the creation of private jobs, so that more and more citizens can enter the labour market. ? and tackle unemployment and precariousness.

?? To do this, our representatives must stop putting sticks in the wheel and start thinking of entrepreneurs and business people as necessary allies for the creation of a prosperous and inclusive country.

2) In Argentina, while thousands of young people are looking for work, there were more than 15,000 unfilled jobs in 2020 in the technology and software industry. ?.

In addition, a car company recently complained to the public that it could not find staff with completed secondary education to hire.

❗️31% of young people under the age of 24 do not finish secondary school in our country, and the figure increases if we are talking about young people in precarious economic conditions. It is understandable, therefore, that there are jobs for which there is no qualified labour supply.

?? Dropping out of secondary school, for the poorest, not only implies a low capacity to get a formal job, but also a low possibility of aspiring to social mobility and escape poverty.

It is therefore essential:

?? Interrelated work between secondary school and business and industry (yes, again the friendship with entrepreneurs and business people).

?? Free, short training courses in the trades currently in demand for students in their final years of secondary school. At #PlanCountryArgentina we work at Usina Tecnológica.

? A prosperous and inclusive country provides opportunities for citizens to earn their own income. A growing country needs thousands of people and businesses to provide jobs, thousands of skills to access them, and all citizens with completed secondary education.

?? Let's demand the only possible bridge!

? Quality education, training and better state rules to create white and salaried jobs! We want a long-term plan to guarantee it!
