Do you know what invisible taxes are?
Invisible taxes are those taxes that are included in the prices of goods and services without the consumer being aware of their detail and weight in the final value.
Every time we make a purchase of food and beverages in a shop, we pay, without specifically knowing it, a total of 41% on the bill in municipal, provincial and national taxes. Taxes that grow year by year and have a negative impact, above all, on the pockets of the poorest.
The industrial and commercial process of the food products we consume incorporates taxes on inputs, labour, corporate profitability, fees, security charges, etc. into their price.
Argentina has more than 145 taxes. Many of them were determined for specific occasions and were never removed from the system.
To progress as a country, we must ensure that everyone has an equal opportunity to make the effort and prosper. When high barriers, such as the amount of taxes that each citizen has to pay, stand in the way, the capacity for growth is reduced.
Let's demand fitness in our representatives, proper retribution for the taxes we pay, better opportunities and fewer obstacles for all those willing to make the effort; and progress towards the social mobility we deserve!
